Yesterday in the mail I got a blue envelope from Nordys, it was the size of a wedding invitation, and it was hand-addressed. Inside was a letter that basically said "we want you to shop with someone who'll help you look your best from head to toe, so please call me before you come in, and then spend this $50 with your favorite sales associate". It was from the "customer relationship manager" at my local store.
I've been shopping at Nordys for years and never received anything like this before? I'm wondering if this is a reaction to one of the two bad customer service issues in the last few months...
In January I was looking at shoes and the salesguy was totally rude to me and not helpful at all. I called and complained later that night, then ordered my shoes online instead.
On my birthday I made an appt at MAC to get my makeup done, and the lady at the counter was a huge biitch. I ended up cancelling my appt with her and walked over to Estee Lauder instead. The manager at MAC heard me cancel and came over to ask me why, I explained to her the things that the lady had said and did, and they refunded me my $50 "appt fee". I ended up buying a ton of makeup from Estee Lauder and I left very happy with my overall experience.
So, did anyone else get a letter like this? I'm just thinking it's funny, because if it was related to the shoe thing, that was almost 3 months ago! Lol. And if it was because of the MAC thing, I was already happy, they didn't need to do anything else!
Or am I overthinking this and it doesn't have anything to do with either of these issues?
Re: Nordys sent me a letter for $50 credit? Anyone know why?
That's pretty nice.
I ordered a pair of Cole Haan pumps from them and they showed up alone in the box, no tissue, no bag, nothing, and scratched to hell. I sent a scathing email to CS b/c of the condition and basically got a form letter back.
