Speaking of terrible baby names..
So my fsil (the one with the garage wedding reception in February) is having a little girl and the she announced that she will name the baby
*drumroll*
BRISTOLL MAECYN!
:le sigh:
Fi was like "uhhh that is a totally weird name and I don't like it", thank god I know he won't suggest some fvckery of a name for our child if we spawn.

Re: Speaking of terrible baby names..
Maecyn might just be THE worst butchering of a name I've ever seen.
I dont usually voice my negative opinion on what people chose to name their children by Maecyn is just bad..:( it makes me feel like I read it wrong.
the initials... BM? lolz? Also, what happens if her kids get married and change their names? Does she throw a b*tch fit because they're not all the saaaame?
sheer f*ckery.
i don't usually post here, but i had to say something...
i had to stare at that for a minute before i even figured out how to say it. i'm glad it's the middle name and not the first name, or people who have to read it in the future would always be all, "wtf?!" every time they'd have to call her name from a roster or a waiting list. yikes.
see my first name is one of those names that people are like wtf when i pronounce it or they see a female get up when they were expecting a male. Seriously my parents must have been high when they named me.
Sadly for the poor OP child, this is actually true.
It is.
My DS went to grade school with a girl whose initials were ASS. Poor girl. Didn't her parents think of that before they named her? Or did they do that on purpose? I have a feeling she'll be in the 'change her last name' camp when she gets married and will avoid dating guys with last names that start with 'S'.
