LV Bag Help!
Hi ladies, I usually lurk but I really need some advice.
I want to get my 1st Louis Vuitton Bag and am kinda torn. I like the monogram and want to keep it under $2k. So far I like the Tivoli PM or GM & Speedy 30. Just wondering if the Speedy monogram is still in style or if I should look into the Ebene canvas.
What do you recommend?

Buying a first LV can be exciting. I remember how excited I was when I bought my 1st LV. You should get the bag that you like, and not what you think it's "in", because if it's an "in" bag right now, it will be "out" someday.
I think you should first decide if you want it to be your everyday bag or your going out bag, or a casual dressed up weekend bag. Because you would need different funcationality and shapes.
I do have a speedy 30 in damier ebene and I rarely use it. It has not seen light of day in ages!!! It's not the most practical bag amongst my bags. I like the Tivoli, I also like Siracusa GM, Hampstead, delightful (only MM, the zippers on GM are too distracting), and Stresa too.
If you have a store near you, you should go and try the bags in different sizes with your actual stuff (wallet, sunglasses, etc) in it.
Well hell, just buy the whole store! Why not, right?
Thanks for your help. I like the ones you mentioned. I'm looking for an everyday bag to wear. I was attracted to the speedy because of the price but I really want one that I can wear on my shoulder, but I don't like the tote bag style. I think I might get the Tivoli GM or Stresa.
I just looked at the Mahina line, its so nice!! I would spring for 1 but I just bought a Chanel Classic Flap Bag last month.
It seems like a lot of people have the Speedy but don't end up using it much? Is it because it's not comfortable to carry?
Delightful is nice. Which one the PM or MM? I like the PM, I'm pretty small (5'2 95lbs) and don't want a jumbo bag. Is a shoulder bag?
I have the Speedy in Ebene and love it since I don't have to worry about the untreated handles. Whatever you decide, just make sure you buy it before the increase on the 16th
I have the Tivoli PM and I definitely prefer the style over the Speedy. If I had to choose again though, I'd go with the the GM because it fits over the shoulder. But I was specifically looking for a smaller bag and while I love the Tivoli PM, it doesn't get as much use since it's only handheld.
I suggest going to the store and trying them all.
I'm a tote girl, I don't like having my hands full holding a purse(not a fan of using the long strap with it). My #1 most used bag (even before DS came along) is my Neverfull MM - I LOVE this bag(it's the one tote that doesn't fall off my shoulder), it's functional for everyday as well as travel. I'd love to get it in Azur, but have had bad luck in the past with denim transfer and Azur :-(
Sad to hear that, because I really want to get something in Azur!
I've known some people that don't have any problems, but even after washing all my jeans with the vinegar mix they still rubbed off :-(
Last time I was in-store looking at the Azur Neverfull and brought it up to the SA, she just agreed and said "that's what happens with the lighter colors." From that I took it as a no, they wouldn't do anything. Plus, it was something that happened right away so I figured it would just continue to happen - I sold the bag.
