tell me about garnier bb cream

what does bb mean?

does it really "fix" dark/uneven spots or merely conceal?

What is it?

Re: tell me about garnier bb cream

  • BB cream is "supposed" to replace primer/concealer/moisturizer and some other products.  It's kind of a more pigmented, less oily version of TM.  I  use the Smashbox one as an alternative to foundation because TM does nothing for my oily skin.  I've not used it under foundation because I wear a pretty full-coverage foundation but alone it's great for days when I just want to throw on something to cover my rosacea and go.  I do have to set it with a powder but it's a lot less dewy/glowy than any oil-free TM I've tried.  I may have to spot-conceal but overall I'm pretty happy with the way it covers and blends into my super-pale skin.
  • I love this stuff.  Like the PP, I still have to spot conceal a bit, and set it with powder, but I'm so happy with the results.  It's so much lighter than foundation, and it works just as well for me.

So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

  • I also really like it.  I still have to use under eye concealer, and set it with powder, but I like it a lot so far.
  • I love it.  It's basically tinted moisturizer, but it seems more reflective somehow.

  • I like it, it is a nice base/ moisturizer but it does nothing for coverage for me. I use bare essentals over it and i like that it gives me a bit of a glow.
  • This month's issue of Cosmo has a sample of it in 2 shades.
  • I really disliked the Garnier version. I have oily skin and I was an oil slick by the end of the day and it made me breakout. I loved the feel of it in the morning though, and the thought of the whole combination items. I wish there was a version that is made for people with oily skin.

If anyone has any suggestions on a better version for oily skin, please let me know.

If anyone would like my used 5 times tube of Garnier in Light, please let me know.

  • it made me break out like a 15 yr old boy. I hated it.  The finish was great for the first half the day, then my face was an oil slick

I recommend trying an Asian version. They are cheaper too. The one from skin79 in the hotpink tube is made for oily skin and gets good reviews. I heard RubyRuby76 on ebay sells the real stuff and free shipping (have to be careful of fakes) and also seoulglamour on Amazon. Also, I think the Asian ones are better than the American ones and completely different.
