Some of you already saw this on facebook, but my Itty Bitty Kitty died last night. Marcelo had been staying at the house for a couple days while I was out of town. He was sitting on the recliner and when he went to get up and close it he did not realize Itty Bitty was underneath it.
I am heartbroken and have a hundred "what ifs" and "if onlys" but I know that's not going to change anything. Itty Bitty Kitty was the best thing that had happened to me this year. I'm just devastated. He is in the animal morgue at the emergency vet's office so I am going to go see him on Sunday when I'm back and then have him cremated. I never lost a pet of my own before and this was so unexpected. I know some of you recently lost some very special pets so I thought you'd understand.
On top of all that, my sister's baby shower is today. None of us slept well last night after finding this out. I'm hoping I can pull myself together and stop crying before this evening.
Thanks for listening. I'd appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
Re: Missing my Itty Bitty Kitty
I am so sorry for your loss, Wendy. Losing a pet is always hard, but with everything else that has gone on lately I am sure losing itty bitty kitty feels even more difficult.
We are here if you need anything. Hugs!

What are you looking at?
I'm so sorry dear!! You have been through so much and this on top of it! A few years ago, we lost our cat unexpectedly when she was only a year old. We cried all day. Lots of thoughts and prayers for you and vibes that you can put on a good face for the shower.
Hugs!!
Thanks for the kind comments, ladies! My sister's shower was a lot of fun!! I'm sure my face looks red in a lot of the pictures from crying all day though. And quite a few of our family and friends had heard about what happened and kept coming over to tell me they're sorry, which made me cry all over again. But, for the most part, I did well and enjoyed being with everyone. My sister got tons of cute stuff for the twins and lots of stuff they needed. People were so generous. We are heading back to NC today (yay for 12 hours in the car!) with her CR-V packed full.
I scoured petfinder and craigslist last night looking for black kitties. I found 2 little guys I'd like to go visit this week. I know no one can ever replace Itty Bitty Kitty and his spunky little self, but there are other kitties who are waiting for homes.
