Grey's 4/12

OMG when Christina was on the bed ugly crying and Owen went to hold her made me cry.  They way she was crying and made it look like she was physically in pain.  That was so messed up how they were using Lexi.

Re: Grey's 4/12

  • Yeah... I felt really bad for her the whole episode.

I'm glad she showed up at the end and seems like maybe she can start getting back to her old self.

Is it me or is Sara Ramirez (Callie) losing weight like crazy?  She seems sooo much smaller.

Also Mark is looking pretty old.

It looks like Callie has lost a ton of weight. She always looked good, so I hope she stays healthy with this weight loss.

The old guy at the end asking where his family was killed me. I felt horrible for him. MH didn't get it though. He felt the old guy brought it on himself.

  • Christina was driving me nuts! How can she care so much, she never really acted like she even loved Owen, everything was always about her, never them as a couple.

Poor Lexie! Why is she not all over Mark- he looked HOT last night- something is different about him.

Next weeks episode looks really good.

  • The old guy didn't let them notify his family.  What did he expect?

Christina crying: when Owen wrapped his arms around her he pissed me off.  He screwed her over and caused her pain and then thinks he can hug her and make it all go away?  Hell no!

Mark was looking old and not as hot, for sure.

This has always bothered me so much. Cristina has always been EXTREMELY upfront with who she was and what she wanted from her marriage. Owen married her knowing she didn't want kids, but he felt like he could eventually change her mind or guilt her into that. I think that's really crappy. Don't act all surprised because she's EXACTLY who she always told you she was. ???

I mean, it sucks for him that she had the abortion, don't get me wrong. But I don't understand how he can project all this anger and guilt on her over it when he always always knew that's how things would end up. Thinking he could guilt her into having the baby was just manipulative.

Regardless, they were married and he cheated. Of course she was devastated.

Yeah it shows flash backs of him meeting her and that night.

  • If they do end up divorcing (which it looks like that's what it's heading towards) I wonder what will happen to Owen's character.  Do you think they'll keep him there and he and Christina will have to work together?  Will Christina leave? (I think Meredith and Derek are supposed to be leaving after this season???)

I really didn't like how selfish Bailey, Arizona & Callie were about the ladies night.  Seriously, you want to have sex so you try to cancel on a woman who is attempting to get over the loss of her husband?  Ridiculous.

I totally get what you are saying and yes you are correct she has always been very up front, that her career comes first and she didn't want kids. But at some point you have to realize that it's not just about you and when you are married you have to become an "us" at some point. They should have never gotten married, it was never a good match from the start.

I agree with this. Getting married means you are agreeing to share your life with someone.  Being career-focused, wanting or not wanting certain things in life, etc. doesn't change this. If she really only wants everything to be about her then she never should have gotten married.

Well if this is what you truly believe then you can't just blame Cristina. Hunt went with her to get the abortion. He is mostly mad at himself for not being able to leave Cristina over that. That's not all in her and he is mad that he compromised himself and she didn't.  Team Yang.

  • What was that manipulative bullshit at the end with " you are the only woman I ever will love.". That made am so angry.  Team yang

  • I thought Owen was so manipulative, it reminded my of XH and Cristina ugly crying on the bed is how I felt when I found out about XH's affairs. It doesn't matter what else happened in the marriage, that sort of betrayal is soul crushing, it feels physically painful, and he wanted to shrug it off/ hug it out and say that since he didn't love the other woman, it didn't matter. I saw the parallel between Yang and Teddy, wanting to know the details, to try and figure out where things got so far off track, but still not getting an answer about why Teddy's H died or Owen made that choice.

I thought it was hilarious at the end when Owen seemed totally confused as to why Sloan was acting chief.

I was a little upset at the ladies for trying to get out of hanging out with Teddy, but good for Arizona telling them they need to suck it up and do it because they are friends. But Bailey man (whose name I never remember) is yummy. I'd salsa with him ;)

Good for Mer, getting her crew together so they can all pass their boards, and calling it the Grey method. I thought I saw an article that seemed to suggest that they might not all pass? Ot at least struggle to pass? (which I guess is what's happening...?)  Am I making this up?

  • more team yang. i don't get what evidence these people have that she didn't love him enough in the marriage. i always thought they seemed very much in love, even if they weren't on the same page on everything.

also, i'm not surprised sara ramirez has been losing weight. she just got engaged not long ago, and how many of us tried to slim down for the wedding, ha!

So if someone is career focused and not wanted kids they shouldn't get married?Hmm

He knew she didn't want kids and like others mentioned he tried to manipulate her into it. Yes when you get married you become a "we" but something as life changing as having kids is not something anyone should compromise on or be pushed into. Team Yang. All the way.

  • Just as much as Hunt knew Yang didn't want kids, Yang knew he did want them. They're both responsible for entering into a marriage when they knew they weren't compatible in the long run. Of course, it was still 100% not okay to cheat.

I'm still team Yang. She was having some serious problems when Hunt proposed. Again, he manipulated her, her emotional well-being and the moment to get what he wanted.

I'll say it again, Hunt's a douche. He broke up with his fiance through an email while he was deployed, let his mom believe he was still deployed even though he was back and a short drive away, led Teddy on while dating Yang, tried to kill her, and was a bully to her when she was dealing with her own PTSD. He's a douche. I also don't see how Yang wasn't a good wife.

I agree. I feel like she really changed who she was for him (like she did with Burke) and I was getting nervous about his cheating affecting her studying for the boards. She needs to get outta there and keep kicking butt and being a cardio god. Team Yang!

Poor Lexi, I LOL'd when she said things were falling out of her brain.

I liked Derek's reacton to everything Mark said. It was like "B!tch please...." I'm glad he found out Hunt wanted him to do it all along, I mean hello, he was chief once, he makes a far better candidate than silly, full of himself Mark. Beef with the Chief also made me laugh for a while.

  • I was crying during that part! I can't believe she would just let a cute doctor like Owen go to waste.

  • It kind of annoys me how fast tv couples get married and divorced and it also bothers me that as soon as they hit anything tough they break up. That said, I'm glad Yang kicked him out. It would not be her to let herself be treated that way. I liked that she got pissed off that she was crying over a boy.

I liked Mark as chief and I thought it was funny that he snuck his way in. He was just so cheesy and funny. I like his new cheesy-ness overall. Is Hunt leaving and they're setting up a replacement?

Bailey's man is so hot. I would want to blow off ladies night too. (But yeah, they were jerks about that.)
