Gals in Oklahoma/Kansas/Nebraska - weather outbreak

Make sure you're ready for this weekend! It's not very often they issue a high risk for tornadic storms this far in advance. Calling for it all weekend too!

Make sure you've got your batteries in your flashlights and in your storm radios. I need to scrub my tub so at least it's clean if we gotta get in it! And clean the cat carrier too.

I'm not from the midwest anymore, but this made me LOL. In 30+ years of tornado prep, I never once thought to do this. Probably should have, though. That and sweep the cobwebs in the basement.

I bought new cleaner and it needs to be cleaned lol. By-product of me being so busy, I guess.

Actually came here to start a thread to help me take my mind off it! Haha if it gets bad, my family goes to our office (family business) where we have a giant safe room/ fire proof room for medical records. Prep to parents owning the business- first pic for tornado room! hope EVERYONE stays safe this weekend!

I texted my SIL: "If the weather radio goes off, can we come to your house???" It's funny because she is a panicky person in general ("OMG a store was robbed 4 miles away in a notoriously bad part of town??? I am scared for my life!" type panic) and I'm so worse right now. On her spectrum, I'm pretty zen about it still.

At least my tub is clean!

I don't freak out over much, but I am FREAKING out over here. They say Wichita is under the highest chance of tornados. I'm not looking forward to this.

My sil emailed a link she lives down by you emo. I just hope it doesn't get anybody. My grandparents are driving home from Texas and had to stop in Norman because of a tornado. My mom and I are hoping to go to the tulip festival we will see how the weather is

Here's hoping it's not as bad as they're thinking it's going to be. But somehow, I'm not optimistic. Hope everyone has their insurance premiums paid! We're still dealing with the aftermath of last May's storms -- and it was just hail!

Me too. We have tickets to the Miranda lambert concert tonight and I do not want to be at INTRUST if something goes down! Hopefully this turns out like that day last may when they had us all freaking out and nothing happened.

Oh man! I don't know how much you paid for tickets, but I'd rethink going! I'm a scaredy cat though about weather. Maybe they'll reschedule. Stay safe!
