Hi! Can you send me some tasty healthy snack ideas?? Thanks!!
Re: snacks
Raw fruits and vegetables (though personally I like my veggies cooked).
Greek yogurt with fruit.
Lowfat cottage cheese.
Roasted cauliflower (a bit of olive oil, salt, and optionally garlic, roast at 450 for 18-20min). Or other similarly cooked veggies.
Trail mix (in small quantities, it's very calorie dense - best for post-workout when you don't have a lot of time).
Healthy muffin (something like this http://www.preventionrd.com/2010/09/carrot-raisin-bran-muffins/ not something you buy in a shop).
Fruit like bananas, apples, grapes and oranges
whole wheat pretzels or crackers
prunes (thought they were nasty as a kid, but love them now!)
pistachios or almonds
Kashi chewy granola bars
Lara bars
Fruit (I like apple or banana w/ PB)
Nuts (portion control is key here)
Veggies w/ LF dip
String cheese
WW crackers
Cottage cheese or greek yogurt w/ fruit
Homemade fruit bread/muffins (like JW28 mentioned...I make banana bread or pumpkin bread with less of the sugar and ww flour and applesauce to replace some of the oil and eat a slice for breakfast or a snack.)
Apple or banana with peanut butter or almond butter
light string cheese
laughing cow cheese w/ ww crackers
granola bars (you have to look at the labels, but kashi makes great ones)
trail mix (watch the portion size)
veggies w/ fat free dip (i make it with yogurt)
ww toast or english muffin w/ almond or peanut butter
healthy cereal w/ almond milk and berries
