You know your a mama when.. (nH&Fr)

You let your child throw up in your hands so you do not have to scrub the carpet.

At least he is playing now and acting himself.

  • ...you know your not a mom when your mouth drops open after learning that people let their kids puke in their hands.

    =)

Glad he's feeling better.. but dang, you are tough.

  • LOL...I am a nurse in the NICU and I have been known to aim the baby's mouth toward the floor so it does not end up on my scrubs if I sense a puke coming on!  I also feed them with a receiving blanket draped around them to save myself from getting spit up on.
  • This qualifies for dog "mamas" too....I did this once with one of our dogs. There were a bunch of people in the room who cleared out pretty quickly when that happened! We were at MIL's and she has really light carpet--much easier than scrubbing the carpet! :)

Well we have been up all night with him throwing up.  Poor little guy got to the point of dry heaving.  I got the bucket out after the first time though.   I really didnt want him to puke in my hands I was in the process of giving him meds and it just kind of happened.

Awww =(    My Mom used to put a bucket by our bed .. now I put one by DH when he goes to bed drunk ... HA HA HA ... that hasn't happened in a SUPER long time - but after his bachelor party there was definitely a bucket by the bed.

You know your a wife (or mom) when you put a bucket by the bed to prevent cleaning puke up off the floor  (??)

  • Ahhh, the many "gross" things mamas do. When poop up the back & spit up down your bra are no longer a big deal, you know you've made it ;)

Yep, did this with our dog just yesterday.  And, no, it wasn't the first time.  Washing your hands repeatedly is so much easier than cleaning the carpet for sure.

  • Poor kiddo :(  I hope he feels better soon!

Why is it a knee jerk reaction to put your hands out to catch it when your kid throws up?  lol.  I've done it too.  Then I was like "sh!t.  now we're both covered in puke."
