I got my fav black leather waterproof boots from Clarks. I'm not sure if they will have any right now, but definitely check them out in the winter. They are lightly lined and look good too!
Re: *potato pie*
If you are looking to buy in SA, and you want comfortable ones have you looked at Green Cross? I think the factory shop is in Epping. I can get you the address if you want.
Link to factory shop - http://factory-shops-cape-town-south-africa.blaauwberg.net/details.php?id=44
Or there are Froggies that are also really comfortable - http://www.froggie.co.za/index.php?dispatch=categories.view&category_id=165
My wedding shoes were Froggies. I got it from a shoe shop in Canal Walk.
Edit - And then of course there are always Zoom Shoes - http://www.zoomfootwear.co.za/webstore/ankle-boots (I am not a big fan of theirs, but then I don't have the best taste in shoes. I think their factory shop was in Paarden Eiland. I am a big fan of factory shops)
Thanks, uk! I was looking at a pair of Clarks that said they were waterproof, though they are suede. I'm always a little skeptical of that, but the name says a lot.
I might just order a few from Amazon to my parents' place this summer and try them all on.
Blushing, thanks for the links as well. One pair of sandals I wore all summer is from Green Cross and the other is Froggies. I like a comfortable shoe too! Haven't been to the factory shops yet, might try that or just go to Canal walk.
