? - Running and glasses

I am finally running again post-injury!

Since getting back into running I am now wearing glasses all of the time. I am not a candidate for contacts due to other non-vision issues that I have with my eyes.

I went for a run yesterday without my glasses and found that I was getting a headache toward the end due to not wearing them.

I figured it would be uncomfortable to wear them... and that they may bounce around a bit am I wrong on this?

Any other runners out there that wear glasses and run with them? Any suggestions?

  • Lurker here. I always run with my glasses and I haven't had any issues. I have one pair that I don't wear because they slide down too much but my normal pair are fine.

  • Also lurker.

I always run/ cycle/ yoga/ group fitness with my glasses on. Yes, they are annoying sometimes, but I have gotten used to it.

I'm too lazy to put in contacts just to work out. I would like to get prescription sunglasses for when I am outside, but am fine so far.

Exactly this.  I love wearing my glasses to run, especially when it's snowing!  Keeps things out of my eyes.

  • I wear sports sunglasses or nothing at all. Except I do not ride without glasses, that is an accident waiting to happen!
  • I wear my glasses when I run. Contacts make my eyes water and it's not an option for me to just not wear them because my eyes are super bad. I don't find them to be an issue at all. Sometimes they slide down my nose if I sweat a lot, but I think I fixed that problem by getting them adjusted a lighter tighter in the legs by my ears. The biggest annoyance is the tan line =P

Thanks everyone! I think my issue is that one pair slides a bit. I am due for another pair so I'll make sure they have a better fit.
