I finished my first 25K today and hubs finished his first 50K!
My A goal time was 3:15 and I finished in 3:18:30, so I'll take it, considering it was over 80* at start time.
Next to having my girls, this was seriously the hardest, most mentally challenging thing I've ever done. It was awesome though but I have no desire to ever run any further than that!

Josh has done this 25K three years in a row and decided to move up to the 50K this year. He finished in 6:03:ish and I think he's okay with never doing another ultra

thanks y'all! It was incredibly challenging, but so worth it.
And a note about the trophy, the guy who puts on the races has been doing ultras since they became a "thing" about 30 years ago. He said everyone gets a trophy at his races and there are no AG placements or awards because the whole point of ultras and the endurance races is that everyone gets to the same finish line. Doesn't matter the time, just that everyone gets there. So except for the first guy and girl and the masters first guy and girl (who got $10 starbucks GCs) everyone walked away with the same award. I thought that was so neat.
