Anyone else watch the two-episode miniseries on PBS? I'm just now watching the second episode and love this adaption. Great homage to the 200th anniversary of Dickens' birth.
Re: Great Expectations
It's on my DVR, but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet!
I watched the first episode, but haven't gotten to the second one yet. I'm really enjoying it (love, love, love Dickens!) but can't quite get over the casting of Gillian Anderson as Miss Havisham. She's doing a good job, but she seems way too young to me.
I also wish that it had captured more of the humor of the early parts of the book-- I love Pip's innocence and the humorous descriptions of other characters. The first part, at least, felt pretty heavy to me.
