For the funniest thing you will read all year, read this.
For a holy sh!t OMG read this.
Re: TITANIC WAS AMAZING
I did see it the first time it came out, with my boyfriend at the time who I luuuurved and was sure to marry. I was 16 at the time.
I don't know if I really "saw" the movie at that time, though, as my head was so far up in the clouds. There were no tears the first time around...
Oh man, I saw that movie THREE times in the theater when it came out. What else do 15 year-old girls do?
Speaking of 15 year-olds, that article you posted is fantastic, wise. DH thought I was crying because I was laughing like such a goon.
Same here! That article is awesome!
I saw the movie when it came out, like 6 times, and every time I bawled my eyes out like a proverbial 15 year old
The second time I saw it at the dollar theater with a friend who must have been the only teenage girl on earth not to see Titanic before it finally ended up it the dollar theater. That time I was focused more on the "OMG what a horrible way to die! All these people really died like that!" This train of thought was highly influenced by the fact that the AC was cranked to the max, and I was shivering in shorts and a t-shirt, desperate for the film to end before hypothermia set in.
I feel the same way.
I didn't make it to the opening title. Seeing those people waving and so happy (doubtful it was real footage, but still) knowing most of them would die horribly, ugh. So sad, I couldn't contain myself.
It is a legit good movie, hilarious Jezebel article notwithstanding.
Oh my gosh, that was hilarious!
My college town had this small risky dink cheap ticket movie theatre. They were having a showing of Titanic and the theatre flooded (a pipa burst or something)! Apparently people were freaking out! It was big news for a small college town!
hhahaha I started tearing up at that scene too lol
Andplusalso, the Irish woman with the 2 kids killed me. When she told them "They'll let the 1st class passengers onto the lifeboats first, then they'll come for us". Cut to her tucking them into their beds, telling them a bedtime story, as they wait to die.
JFC, the humanity!
