Target elf brushes

They are only $1. I bought a couple because they were so cheap. Has anyone else used them?

What are your thoughts. Why are some brushes so expensive?  I was at Mac this weekend looking and although I have a couple from there I really don't know why they cost so much.

Re: Target elf brushes

  • I have quite a few ELF brushes which surprisingly have held up pretty good and I figure even if they don't you can buy a LOT of brushes for a buck a piece instead of 20 and 30~

But I've really liked my ELF brushes and still use them today.

  • I have a lot of elf brushes too. I like them and they hold up well. Haven't invested in high end brushes so I can't compare.
  • I have a few ELF brushes. I picked them up when I started to use makeup regularly because I didn't want to spend a lot on a brand not knowing much about it. I didn't use them regularly enough to attest to how well they hold up, but I have had them for years.

I mostly have the eyelast, eyebrow brush, smudge and shadow. They are great to have in my stash for when my others do not dry as quickly as expected.

  • I don't know about ELF particularly but I have several MAC and good brushes as well as cheap ones from Target. IMO, you get what you pay for.  If you take care of your expensive brushes they will last for many years and are made of a much higher quality.  The cheaper ones tend to fall apart or the pieces move in different directions after lots of use.
