The Office spoilers

I do NOT like Nellie.  At all.  I don't find her funny and don't think she adds anything to this cast.  I don't really think they needed to add her or James Spader.  It would have been okay with everyone else.  Get rid of these new people and give us back our old favorites like Kelly.

The only time I laughed at last night's episode was when Dwight was pushing out the magician. Oh and when Erin said seeing the turkey made her tired.

Re: The Office spoilers

  • Just got done watching it and I agree, I do not like Nellie at all. She isnt funny or doesnt really bring anything to the show. I loved when Erin said she was tired too because of the turkey she saw. Too funny.

  • I laughed out loud when Dwight and Jim were going through the box that had all the pictures of Nellie's ex in it, and she said "I see you've discovered Benjamin. That's why I call my box of photos of (ex's name)." SO freaking funny.
  • I agree about the Nellie character. I never found her funny on the show. It's not that she's British  either, because I think British comedy is hilarious. I don't know if she's writing her lines or some of them, but they're not funny. Was she a stand up in the UK? Is that why she's on here?

How random was the Cathy character? She had a handful of line up until the episode when she was in Jim's room, then nothing again.

I still like the office but all the random people are throwing me off.

Yep, this.  Give us back the characters we love.

  • I will admit, I love Robert California mainly because I have an unhealthy love for James Spader. But I can't stand Nellie. Her character just makes me grit my teeth.

Pretty in Pink! (Although he kind of looks like he must have been held back a LOT.)

  • I think Nellie is great, but this episode was weak and felt sad (I named my cat after Catherine Tate's character on Doctor Who, she's hilarious). I think she was good in the Florida arc and that should have ended her spot on the show, because it isn't as funny back in PA. Plus we aren't seeing enough of the rest of the cast!

I believe the Office will probably end this season or at most one more, since Rainn Wilson and one of the major writers (who plays Toby) are going to be working on the spinoff show.

  • OMG - I thought last week's epi was hilarious!  I happened to like Nellie and think she's a great addition to the show!  Took me a while to feel this way, but she totally has grown on me.  She is Michael-esque in some ways and totally a freak!  And I agree with an above poster, that we saw a human side to her this week.  Like Robert California too, but I love James Spader in all things.
  • I'm in the 'get rid of Nellie' camp. I don't think she adds anything to the show. I do enjoy Robert California though.

  • I agree, Nellie sucks. I don't really love Robert California much either, but he has his moments. I did laugh though when she said "I see you've discovered Benjamin. That's what I call my box of Henry things."

I liked the Erin and Andy story line this episode, and glad he broke up with Jessica. Erin feeling sleepy because of seeing the turkey was pretty funny, and so her.

The exchange at the end with the security guy was pretty pointless.

  • Tell me more about this spin off show...
  • I am really disappointed in this season. I feel like they started a bunch of story lines and are only pursuing them in between annoying tangents (Nellie feels like a weird tangent to me). I'd like to see Dwight and Angela and the baby story line a bit more (I've always wanted them to get back together).

Yes, Nellie is Michael-esque, but the way they stuck her in is just too annoying.

It would be centered on Dwight's farm, I don't think it's a sure thing yet but they're strongly considering it. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/office-shakeup-paul-lieberstein-showrunner-303033

Yes!  I'd also like to see more of Ryan and Kelly's relationship.  They're so funny together.
