Ack!
It's available in July. Super cute, 2 floors, off-street parking in a really adorable town. It's walking distance to a lot of restaurants, bars and shops. Hardwood floors. Laundry in building. Yard. $900/month, which includes heat.
The person who rents it now is a friend of mine. I actually house-sat for her 2 years ago, for 2 months -- and that was how my separation got kicked off. Fast forward to now, and I might be taking over her place to co-habitate with S. Funny, right?
So, yeah. Please wish me luck and good vibes and stuff. Maybe this is the place. Maybe it's not. But I'm just excited to be looking.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
Re: So. S and I are looking at an apartment this afternoon.

They see us rollin'...they be hatin'.
Is it weird that I'm anxious about telling my folks about this plan?
I'm almost 34, for pete's sake! But I'm their only kid, and they're very traditional about relationships. Heck, even when I was engaged to ExH, they wouldn't alow us to sleep in the same room when he'd visit. Weird!
They're not gonna be pleased. But that's not my problem. They don't have to like it. they do, however, have to respect it.

Not at all! I had the same reaction when BF moved in with me. My mother sounds very similar to your parents. Hope that conversation goes well!
