Hi. I've been lurking for a few weeks and thought it was time to introduce myself. I'm fairly new to working out. I started a workout routine 4x's a week and calorie counting/meal planning 16 weeks ago. After having open heart surgery in 2008, I used it as an excuse to be lazy for a few years and decided it was time to get back into shape.
I am working out primarily to be in better health and do not plan to lose weight (5'2"/120 lbs), but my husband is a former marathon runner and is trying to return to running as well as lose the 40 lbs he has gained since a back injury.
We have joined a gym and I am doing kickboxing, body pump, and Zumba classes as well as cardio and weights on my own. For me, I want to *like* what I'm doing and so far, I am! I have definitely noticed definition in my arms and legs.
I hope to hang around here and get some encouragement and advice when needed!
