RV people, please help me.
Thinking of renting an RV to attend a music festival this summer. For four days/three nights, could you survive without an electrical or water hookup and not dumping waste for that time? I'm wondering if the lack of these things sort of negates the nice things about RV'ing it, like air conditioning and a working refrigerator and maybe it would be better to do a tent.

Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
Re: RV people, please help me.
Thanks, Texas, this was the answer I was looking for. No electric hookup = no bueno. I don't know jack about recreational vehicles and how they work.

It's unlikely a rental unit would be self contained with a generator, or else there'd be no issues with it. I agree with PP - tent camping is probably the best idea since it seems like you'd be using the standard tent camping amenities anyway. Have fun!
It really depends on the RV. We have a trailer with a generator that could easily go 3-4 days or more of fully-contained dry camping.
I would find an RV with a generator and go for it!
You could, but it's a pain, especially without electrical. Like PP said you'd only have probably enough power for the fridge and minimal lighting, and even then you might be pushing it. You'd have to forget about air conditioning and cooking unless you had propane.
No water is more do-able. You'd want to fill the tank before you left and be judicious about usage -- no showers (which suck in an RV anyway), no using the toilet, and minimal hand and dish washing. RVs have two waste water tanks - the grey water (sinks) and black water (toilet), and depending on the RVs clean water versus grey water tank size you might still need to dump the grey water. Many campgrounds have little meshed off dumps for grey water, but given that there are no water or electricity where you are going I'm guessing it's less likely they'll have this, and you'd still need to find a dump station after your trip.
