Re: Restaurant Recs: Berlin

  • We only ate out at one place besides going to the Hard Rock and it was just okay. They had giod steaks but the decor was just biazarre. It was at Alsexanderplatz. I ended up eating a lot of Dunkin Donuts and Subway for my meals. Heh.

  • I lived for a short while in Friedrichshain in East Berlin. If you are planning on visiting the East Side Gallery (Berlin Wall Museum) you will be within walking distance to the neighborhood. Check out Simon-Dach-Stra?e, there are plenty of great restaurants and shops all along that street. If you're interested in Turkish food my absolute favorite place is called Meyman, on Krossener Stra?e.

ETA: There is also a small park nearby called Boxhagener Platz, on Sundays they have a great little flea market.
