have you received your tax refund back yet?
Ours was sent in by husband's company and "accepted" by the tax dudes.
How long can I estimate until we get the money?
OH and PS I love the Dutch government right now. We are getting a CRAPLOAD back because I guess their stance is to take a lot out in the beginning and give it back to you later?
Re: Dutch INs.
Do you know what date they sent it in?
I think usually if you send it in before halfway through March, you should have it by June. If you file it by April 1st (as you should if you haven't asked for an extension) they're usually still pretty quick, but they're allowed to take up to the end of the year. If you file after April 1st and you hadn't asked for an extension, there's no telling, they legally have the right to have it take 2 years (or 5, not sure, usually it's fixed within a year and a half though).
And there are a couple of tax benefits that are awarded to everyone who works at least x days a year. It's usually calculated into each paycheck (so divided in 12). If you only had 6 Dutch paychecks, they still have to give you those other 'months' of benefits/deductions/whatever they are.
Enjoy your crapload back!
