Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
So certified copy of your marriage certificate or court order that your name has changed?
So, I have to submit the real deal instead of a color copy of the original, correct? I'll get it back... eventually, right?
I've been sitting on it for awhile, and now that I need it for the summer, I wish I've done everything sooner-- no room for errors now. Thanks!
Re: Silly Passport Question

yes they return it.
Everything should be sent via traceable mail, and I would go as far as pre-paying for an express mail envelope to mail your documents back to you (most of the time the passport is transferred to a printing facility and mailed from there via priority mail while your important original documents are sent back to you via regular USPS mail from the office that processed the application).
If you choose to do that just stick a note on the pre-paid pre-addressed envelope that it is to be used to return your documents
This. I had to do this in 2010 and didn't have any issues.
