  • I don't love it, but I would have to see the style of your kitchen to be sure.

  • Love them! As long as the island is not where the stove is... I'd be afraid that those would be terribly difficult to keep clean if they were close to the stove.

  • I'm not a huge fan of the fake candle look.  But, maybe it goes great with the style of your kitchen?

i don't like that fake candle thing either - make switch that 'melted' thing out

no where near stove - kitchen is all off white cabinets, light grayish counter, light gray/glass backsplash.  all open concept downstairs

Dark wood floors, very light gray paint, off white dining table and black w. crystal chandelier over dining table

  • It is not my style at all but impossible to say without a photo of your kitchen. If I bought a house with those in them they would come down ASAP.

  • I would worry that it might be a little heavy, visually, for over an island. I also am not a huge fan of the fake candle looks. Reminds me of my mothers house and she recent spent money to replace light fixture with that older look.

Another thought, is the amount of light they will really give off. My mothers fake candle style light fixtures didn't give off much light at all. If you want them as accent lighting only, then you are probably good. If you want them to actually light something, doubt they would.

  • Its hard to say with out seeing the room. Either way have in mind adding additional lighting on the side because these kind of fake candle lighting will not really give out too much light.
  • Not a fan.

What do you use the island for? I could maybe see a similar style if you're just using it for dining and you have two bar stools, but it would seem not functional and awkward if you use the island for food prep.

Also, a pair of them would be weird. I think two would look like you got a BOGO deal or that there was one missing.
