The Toto has landed!

LOL, I don't know what magical properties I expected it to have, but I'm vaguely disappointed.  It's not extra comfortable to sit on or anything.  I like the soft-close lid, but the lid seems very light and plasticky to me.  And I dislike the little "Sanagloss" blue and gold puffy logo on the top.  Oh well, little quibbles. If it stays clean I'll be happy.

  • LOL!

I was expecting you to be amazed, from all the hype I've heard about Totos. (For the record, I've never sat on one, that I know of.) ;)

  • LOL it doesn't have any magic powers until you use it!  When you never have to worry about it you'll appreciate it.  The lid does seem light compared to our old solid plastic 70's ones but it needs to be light for the soft close function to work.  Don't worry you can sit on these lids when they are closed without them flexing like a lot of other light plastic lids out there.  We use ours all the time as a seat while we're working on the rest of the bathroom remodel.  When you first sit on it you also might feel like the seat is slanted in a bit but you get used to it fast.

I didn't realize there was a Sanagloss sticker on them.  Can you remove it?  We don't have that but we do have the water sense sticker on there.  I haven't decided if we want to leave that on there or not yet.

Thanks FF!  I don't think I would have had the guts to try to remove it on my own, but with your encouragement I tried and it did come off.  I have some adhesive gunk left behind, but it was not nearly as permanent as it looked...it was like a raised plastic stick-on bubble over a foil sticker.  It looks MUCH better without that blue and gold tackiness!

Haha, after the money I shelled out for mine, I hope yours is more impressive after you use it!

  • mmy husband and I *just* got a toto too!

I'm a small person, so the seat doesn't bother me.  My husband is 6'4.  He says it isn't uncomfortable, but it's not as comfortable as he would have liked it to have been.
