Crossfitters: has anybody gotten a breast implants?

I've been crossfitting for about a year. I'm considering finally getting the breast augmentation that I've wanted for years. Has anybody had this done? What was your out time.

We have an annual beach trip at the end of June and I'd love to have them done before but I don't want to be out of crossfit and lose all the hard work I've done over the last year to lose so much muscle tone right before the beach.

FWIW, I'd get a augmentation with implants. Gravity has not been my friend Sad. I would not go bigger than my current size D though. I'm 5 10 and about 160lbs and am comfortable with my size.

Re: Crossfitters: has anybody gotten a breast implants?

  • I personally do not have implants but a close friend of mine is super into fitness and yoga.  She had hers done (up 3 or 4 sizes) and was out of any lifting exercises for a good 4-6 weeks.  I also know that her balance was actually off for a while because of the added weight.

  • I had the opposite done many years ago. Be prepared for a 6 week recovery. The LAST thing you want to do is to undo the surgery you just had.

  • I don't do crossfit but I implants and you can't really do much excersise for at least a month.
  • I don't crossfit but I have implants and I couldn't really do much for about 4 weeks.Even after a few months, push ups bothered me. A lot has to do with if you go above or below the muscle. If you go above, the recovery is nothing compared to under. I have talked to a few girls who were really into crossfit and they all chose to go above. I suggest going to a few consultations (most are free) and explain to the doctor your fitness routine and ask a ton of questions.
