How to thin out Seche Vite?

I've read how to thin it out when it stops going on nicely, but forget...what do I add to the bottle to get it back to normal again?

Re: How to thin out Seche Vite?

  • You can buy thinning drops at nail salons and Sally Beauty

  • I own Posche- is this the same thing I can buy/do for it as well? Does the topcoat still work as effectively, or is it better to invest in new SV/Posche?
  • I use thinner from Sallys or Zoya Restore when I run into this problem.  It has worked with all the topcoats I have tried.  Just make sure you don't thin it too much, and do it a few hours before you plan on doing it so it has time to mix properly.

  • It never works as well for me after I thin it out.  I always just buy a new bottle when it gets bad.

  • Seche Vite makes a thinning drops called Restore, I've added it to the top coat several times and it always works for me. Just be sure to add a small amount at a time and do not shake the bottle because it will create bubbles.
  • Thanks!  I'm going to give it a try.
