How is Raelynn (spelling?) still on this show??!!?? Also, it has just in general sucked donkey nuts tonight. Bad songs, no energy and if I hear one more Adele cover ima scream.
Re: The Voice. Spoilers
I'll quote myself from the Entertainment board:
"Checking in to say that I hate Raelynn. Nothing like being patronized by a hypersexualized 17 year old. It's like watching Toddlers and Tiaras all growed up."
"There comes a time in every woman's life when she must wear pants whilst in public."
I don't see anybody keeping Raelynn from winning. Lindsay got lucky that she hit the zeitgeist or whatever with the Gotye song, but that isn't happening again.
The Jesse pick was pretty bad. I know that Christina's really woman-centric to the point of ridiculosity (coined a word there), so I was betting a guy would go. I thought it'd be Chris.
I don't think RaeLynn can win, I really don't. She's skating by because Erin can be pitchy and Jermaine oversings. His team is way inferior to Adam's, and half of CeeLo's.
ETA: RL seems to be almost universally disliked on The Voice's message boards too. Nobody is particularly pleased with the choices.
I HATE people doing Adele songs. Drives me batty. They aren't Adele, no point in trying.
I also hate Raelynn and I am flabbergasted she is on. I hope she gets voted off.
I was bored last night and watched most of the show while washing dishes in a different room
It was awful. Everything.
Both of those teams are quite weak IMO. Lindsay is the only one that performed last night that I would ever consider actually listening to IRL. I don't love Raelynn... but I don't hate her. I find her entertaining (or at least more than Chris Mann, Jesse, Erin or Jermaine).
Jordis was ok... and not sure what I think about Ashley (I think that is her name).
Anyways-- other than Lindsay, my prediction is none of the others that performed last night will be contenders in the end (or at least I hope).
i fell asleep towards the end but woke up when christina let jesse go and my h started screaming like a maniac. i can't believe she let him go. i feel like he really could have won the whole thing. i really, really like lindsey but her performance last night was meh. i didn't hear chris mann sing.
raelynn is a joke. i felt uncomfortable watching her dance around and while she has improved from the beginning, she is still awful. there is no way i believe that "all of nashville" is talking about her as blake told her last week.
and i hate how christina makes her team performance all about her. she did that last year as well. they sang one of her songs and the contestants were her background singers. all of the other judges chose songs that would highlight the team, not themselves.
I think Chris Mann's only problem is that he always sounds rehearsed. He's trained like nobody's business. Technically, there's not one other singer in his league up there. Tony Vincent was his only competition.
I have no doubt all of Nashville is talking about RaeLynn. Unfortunately, most of the conversation is probably along the lines of "Thank god we gave up that Hee Haw schtick in favor of a marketable pop/rock crossover that doesn't make us sound like pretentious hayseeds."
I'm watching this on TiVo right now and kind of wish Christina Aguilera would wear some clothes while performing.
ETA: she needs to wear shoes she can walk in without looking injured.
Also, sorry if all of this has been covered above - I'm not reading this thread until I've seen the whole show.
