XP: laundry question

I washed and dried a new shirt with the size sticker label still on it. Is there anyway to get ride of the mess it left or am I SOL?

Re: XP: laundry question

  • I would try Goo Gone to remove the residue

  • I would try soaking it in vinegar and water for a little while and then scrubbing it.  Not sure if it'll work but couldn't hurt to try.

I think I will.  I thought of it, I was just mildly worried about it leaving a stain of it own.  It seems greasy/oily.

Two part process... use the goo gone and then wash it (don't dry, the heat will set in the stain). Then re-wash and pre-treat for the goo gone oil. Dawn should take the oil out, but if you want to be sure there's a product called Lestoil. It's in the laundry aisle, but you have to search for it. It doesn't have prime eye level placement. It looks like a bottle of cooking oil... that stuff will get rid of any oil stains.

  • I'd use oxyclean. The enzymes will remove the oily glue that is stuck on. Just scritch it in with your fingernail.
