I would ask for help on my "home board," but they are all nice and won't give it to me straight. I'm way way way overdo for a haircut and color. I had to skip my color because of a meeting running late and then my last appointment was canceled because of a snowstorm (6 weeks ago and today is 80 -- ahhh..love New England). I thought I could go the 6 extra weeks and have more to work with.
I'd like a change, but I'm not sure if I'm going in the right direction.
So this is me a few weeks ago --
I've been wearing my bangs clipped back recently and have gotten a lot of compliments.
I would like to do something like this:

I've had a similar cut, but I really want to try darker hair. I've had all shades of blonde and red. Do you think I can carry off hair this dark? Am I totally insane?
Any other suggestions?

Re: Hair Help Please
I have a very similar cut and I love it because it's really easy to style and it grows out well so if like in your case, crap happens and I can't get to the salon, the extra weeks of growth don't make it impossible to style.
I personally love dark hair on most people - but I'm a terrible judge when trying to figure out if it will look good on a person based on a picture. I figure it's just hair color and if you don't love it you can change it back. Maybe start with a demi-permenant color just incase?
definitely do this! It's really low maintenance (obviously) so there's no worry about having roots. I've done it and had great results

Thanks everyone.
Evidently my appointment is TOMORROW...not today. After I sat in the salon waiting..oops! My hairdresser laughed at me. I'll update tomorrow. I'm excited.
