Who still follows Hollyluv's blog?

She announced today that she going to be flipping a house and blogging about it.  Should be interesting to see if she does it totally in her style or something more for the masses.  I really like her style but it might be a little too white for some people.

It's funny...I really loved her style, and then I went to my cousin's NY apartment that was actually done all in shades of white like that and I *hated* it.  It felt so cold and depressing in person.  I kinda wonder if those spaces photograph well but don't feel so great in person, or if my cousin just did it wrong.  :-)

  • I saw that!  I personally am not a fan of the all white thing but I think she does a great job.

  • I can't wait to see what she does!  After her not posting very much lately, I am looking forward to this content.

Geez, between OurHumbleAbowed, House*Tweaking, HollyLuv, and YHL (well, sorta YHL), lots of bigger projects to follow!  Also, I am following a renovation of "the world's ugliest condo" on ApartmentTherapy.

I've heard the same from other people. It's easy to photograph it so it looks good, but IRL it doesn't have much depth.

I think they same could be said for a lot of things and design styles- not just cottage-y white. Good cameras seem to make spaces look better, bigger and brighter. I think the main thing is that Holly is just so talented and I have no doubt that her spaces look just as amazing in person (hello, kitchen!). Her style is definitely not mine- but I can sure appreciate great design when I see it! I can't wait to see what she bought!

  • I can't wait to see what she does with the townhome.  I love her decorating style and don't doubt that it looks just as good in person.
