    What event are you training for/date? Half marathon, May 6

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? Should be around 40mpw, long run of 15

    Any injuries or problems? Still sore from Sunday's race!

    Highlights from last week? First race post baby, First place in age group at 3 months pp!!! 

    What's your favorite season for exercise? Fall

  • What event are you training for/date? AP festival 10k, 5/26

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? M: 3mi and lifting, Tu: 4mi, W: 40min tempo, Th: 3mi and lifting, F: rest, Sa: 6mi, Su: 60min XT

    Any injuries or problems? I am le tired.

    Highlights from last week? 3.2 for the 32 Run in Remembrance on Saturday. Emotional but beautiful day for us Hokies.

    What's your favorite season for exercise? Fall, the temps drop and so does my pace :)

  • What event are you training for/date? Half - 4/29 (5K 4/22, but not really training specifically for it)

    What does your training schedule look like for the week?  M - rest, T - strength and yoga, W - 5 miles (maybe some speedwork), Th - strength and yoga, F - 10 miles, Sat - rest, Sun -

    Any injuries or problems? Sunday races annoy me, because I feel like I miss the opportunity to get a long run in during the weekend.

    Highlights from last week? 12 mile run

    What's your favorite season for exercise? Spring, I prefer to spring to fell because the days get longer and it is easier to squeeze in my runs.

  • What event are you training for/date?  Pittsburgh Marathon 5k, May 5th - my first race ever!

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? 2 miles tomorrow at race-pace, 2.75 miles Friday (10% increase! Lookit me being responsible) and 1 mile easy on Sunday if I can. This is on top of my normal MMA training.

    Any injuries or problems? The hip is bad, so bad I have an appt with the Ortho on 5/8. I hope I can get through this race.

    Highlights from last week? Lowlights, more like. Wednesday was good, took 90s off my 2 mile time (12:55 and 12:27 miles!)

    What's your favorite season for exercise? Fall! 

    Why? Relief from the heat of summer

  • What event are you training for/date? - 8 mile trail race this Saturday 

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? - Mon. easy cardio at gym, Tues: easy 3-4 miler Wed: ST arms and TKD class, Thurs. easy 3-4 miler Fri: off Sat: race Sun: maybe off 

    Any injuries or problems? - I have a cold, so not feeling too hot today

    Highlights from last week? - eh, I got nothing, my training this whole spring has basically sucked 

    What's your favorite season for exercise? - fall

    Why? - perfect running temps

  • What event are you training for/date? 10M Parkway Classic this Sunday!

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? I was sick yesterday so my schedule is a little off so far. M- Rest, Tue- if I'm feeling ok, strength, Wed- 4 x hills, Thu- 3M + Strength, Fri- 35M Tempo, Sat - Rest, Sun - Race day

    Any injuries or problems? None so far

    Highlights from last week? 8 mile long run, I haven't done that long of a distance since I did my half marathon

    What's your favorite season for exercise? Fall

    Why? I like the cooler temps

    What does your training schedule look like for the week?  M - rest, T - strength, W - 3 miles, Th -3 miles, F - ??, Sat - rest, Sun -5 mile run?

    Any injuries or problems? A little soreness on my right arch, hopefully it will go away soon

  • What event are you training for/date? Covered Bridge Half, June 2

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? M: circuit training, Tu: 4mi, W: 6 mile, Th: 3mi , F: rest, Sa: 3 mi, Su: 11 mi

    Any injuries or problems?.Last week I only got in 3 short runs. I was traveling and had a cold.

    Highlights from last week? Started a new circuit training class and fell in love with it.
    What's your favorite season for exercise? Spring
    Why? It's so nice after being cooped up inside all winter!  I love the smells of spring:)
  • What event are you training for/date? - First half marathon, May 13th

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? - 30 miles (total) + 2 cross trains

    Any injuries or problems? - General tightness in my right leg that I've had for a few weeks.

    Highlights from last week? - My best run of the week was my 11-miler. For whatever reason, everything clicked into place & I loved it!

    What's your favorite season for exercise? - Spring or summer. We have very moderate summers in Seattle, & it's usually not rainy, but semi-sunny/warm. :-)

  • What event are you training for/date? - Glass City HM, this Sunday

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? - I did an hour of crosstraining (bike and elliptical) yesterday, will probably do 4-5 easy miles today, light speedwork tomorrow, crosstrain on Thursday, easy 4-5 on Friday, off Saturday.

    Any injuries or problems? - No, thank goodness!  I tweaked my knee in January but thankfully some rest took care of that.

  • What event are you training for/date? Birthing a baby-EDD: July 18

    What does your training schedule look like for the week? I'm trying to up my cardio consistently. So far I've done prenatal yoga on Sunday, prob not able to do anything today so W, Th, Fr, Sa will prob be all cardio w/ some light upper body lifting and one of those days off.

    Any injuries or problems? some lower back pain.

    Highlights from last week? Hmmmm....nothing big comes to mind. It was the last week of my 2nd trimester, so that's exciting...

    What's your favorite season for exercise? Summer

    Why? Summer weather forces me to get up early to workout. But I like working up a sweat too!

  • What event are you training for/date?  Chelanman 70.3, July 21.

    What does your training schedule look like for the week?

    Sunday: swim meet

    Monday: 7 mile run

    Tuesday: Track

    Wednesday: 2 hour bike

    Thursday: Tempo run (6-7 miles)

    Friday: Swim, off, or bike or both (too many choices!)

    Saturday: 2.5-3 hour bike

    Any injuries or problems? Yesterday my left quad was sore when I was running. I don't think it's an injury but just sore.

    Highlights from last week?  Winning my age group for the mile in the pool!

    What's your favorite season for exercise? Summers are my favorite because it's usually just warm not hot and I have the summers off!

     

  • What event are you training for/date? short term - 5K on Sunday, long term - 10 miler in 3 weeks

     What does your training schedule look like for the week? Was going to be:

    Monday - 3 miles & strength

    Tuesday - 4 miles

    Wednesday - 8 miles

    Thursday - rest

    Friday - 3 miles & strength

    Saturday - rest

    Sunday - 5K

    Any injuries or problems? Pain in the back of my leg is starting to worry me.  I posted it about it.  Don't know what to do

    Highlights from last week? Last week sucked, I only ran twice bc of this pain in my leg.  Highlight is the Flyers are doing awesome in the playoffs right now!

    What's your favorite season for exercise? Why? Spring, I get motivated with the longer days
