A few years ago I went off birth control and then got hormornal acne. I had it under control but then switched two things in my routine. I started using a clarisonic and switched moistuizers. I have since returned to my old moustuizer that I used when I didn't have acne. However, I am still getting zits around my period. I use the clarisonic once a day and sometimes twice a day. .. I do have sensitive skin so I am wondering if maybe the clarisonic is too rough for my skin, but everything I have read on the clarisonic says that it should be really helpful in fitting acne.... thoughts??
Re: Clarisonic Causing Acne
Twice a day is WAY too often. Try using it every other day and see if your skin improves.

I went through the same thing. I found that I had to use it twice a day, without fail, or else I would still get hormonal acne around my period. It's only been a few months of using it 2x/day and it is like HEAVEN on my face. Seriously, I used to want to cry all the time because I wasn't used to the acne.
(I also got stronger brush heads even though my skin is relatively sensitive and it really helped.)
