How much should a buyer's real estate attorney charge?

What is a reasonable rate for a buyer's real estate agent for standard contract review/closing services in a small/medium market? I have been quoted at $375 - just curious if that sounds about right. Thanks!

For IL, 400 to 600 is the norm.  We paid 400.

  • I worked for a real estate attorney for a long time.  $400 was the norm.

  • Real estate attorneys and the real estate process in general varies greatly depending on your area.

In NY we are an attorney state, attorney's draft contracts, do the closing, etc., they can charge about $1600 here.
