Clicky poll: Help me pick carpet!?

Sorry for the big picture, but I don't want to make it a lot smaller.

Option 3 is probably the lead with the H and I (and the cheapest @ $.65/sq.ft.) but I need some kind of.. reassurance. Option #1 is $.94/sq.ft. and the most expensive sample we picked up.

It'll be fine in the living room and our second bedroom, but I'm worried about the bedroom because it's a purple-gray. I'll PIP in another post because I can't figure out why it won't show up here now. (Stupid Safari.)

  • Note: We have white curtains (and new white blinds) and the bedding is white too.

  • I'm for option 3! Looks good, dark enough to hide stains but light enough to still be pretty.

I wouldn't notice it in your bedroom at all.

I have a similiar carpet in my LR and upstairs bedrooms (if it's not that exact one..our builder does Lowe's a lot) as your 2 option and I will tell you it's light. I love it, it seemed dark on the sample but when spread out over a floor it's really light. I haven't had a problem with it, but I do vaccuum a ton as a result.

  • Last one!

  • Dude, you're totally over thinking this.  You're looking to sell.  Go with the cheapest option.  It'll look fine.  The buyers of the house might tear it out anyway, so don't waste your money on anything super nice.

This. Option 3 looks nice. I'd go with that.

Ditto - I would probably tear it out if I bought your house.  It's clean and neutral, go wtih it.

  • Haha. Well there's ALWAYS the risk that we put it in and then the house sits on the market forever. So we want something that looks nice anyways. With a house like ours, the buyers will either be looking to rent it out or they'll be moving right in with no intention of changing anything. That's what we did -- and then we changed everything lol.

Option #3 is the cheapest, none of them are drastically more than the others. I think the most expensive one was $.94/sq. ft. so it was still under $1,200 for the entire house.
