I need Self Tanner help please!

I'ver tried so many and my biggest problem isn't necessarily streaking because I really take the time to put it on correctly - which is a huge pain, but better than streaks. My main issue is I have so much trouble with the color rubbing off in certain places of friction - like the straps from sandals for example, also color transfer when I'm wearing white or light colored clothes - especially if I'm working out.

Isn't there any product that DOESN'T cause these problems? It's so irritating.

I'm SO WHITE, and unlike some lucky girls - I just have a very hard time embracing it in the summer.

Anyone with any words of wisdom on this?

  • Have you tried this one by Sun Labs?

I use it and I've never had it rub off onto anything.  I do it at night, take a shower in the morning (there is some run off of color), and then I'm good to go.

  • I sincerely appreciate your teking the time to recommend Tobe, but the reviews aren't so great for very fair skin. But thank you!!

  • have you tried showering AFTER you apply? like put it on at night, and shower in the morning when you wake up.

  • Yes Pooh. I have - mainly because I can't tolerate the smell. Even products that claim to have a 'fresh scent' reak to me.

I did recently read somewhere that L'Occtain has a product that smells like fairies, but I haven't tried it yet. LOL. Anyway - I could live with the smell I guess. Just wish I could find a "better" product.

I have pretty fair skin and it works well for me.

  • I'm pretty fair skinned as well and have good luck w/ the Jergen's Daily Moisture (I think that's what it's called).  It's meant to be used every day until you reach your desired "tan".  I use it at night since I can't really stand the smell, but it seems to absorb really well (since it's a moisturizer) so I don't have any issues with getting my sheets icky.
