WWYW to Disney?

I will be visiting my sister in Orlando soon, and a day or two at the parks is on the agenda. I still want to look cute, but need realistic choices for running around outside with 5 kids all day. What type of shoes would you wear? That will influence my outfit choices. I'd love to do skirts or sundresses, but I can't remember if there are play structures that would have me climbing after kids and flashing people below. ;)

Re: WWYW to Disney?

  • I wore comfortable flip flops (Rainbows) last time I went. Paired with a cute top, shorts, and cute cross body purse.

  • I always stick to sneakers with shorts and a tank top or solid color t-shirt.  There's so much walking and some people aren't as careful as they should be with strollers/wheelchairs and I don't want anyone running over my feet if I'm in flip-flops :)  Also, with shorts you don't have to worry about getting in and out of rides.
  • I wore flip flops for a couple hours one time I went and my feet were killing me, and I usually live in flip flops. I usually just wear sneakers, jeans and tanktop. I wouldn't do skirts and dresses so you don't have to worry about "being ladylike" while getting off and on rides.

  • I would do shorts and tops since it'll be easier to get on/off rides and then whatever shoes are the most comfortable for longterm walking/standing.

  • Ok, sounds like sensible shorts are the way to go. Thanks!

  • I second rainbow flip flops, but please break them in before you go or your feet will kill you.

  • I agree that sneakers are your best bet. As a local I live in flip flops, but only wear them to Disney World if I'll be there for just a couple hours. If you plan on being there longer that, save your feet and wear supportive sneakers. :)

  • Sneakers, shorts, t-shirt, cross-body bag.  And sunscreen reapplied every 2 hours all day long.
