I'm looking for stylish and comfy walking shoes for my upcoming trip to China. I looked at the Sperry Angelfish Boat Shoes and they were very comfy when I tried them on, but I don't love the boat shoe look. I considered Cole Haan Ballet Flats but wondered if they are comfy for walking long distances. I didn't see any Merrills that I absolutely loved. Any suggestions? I'm looking to spend less than $250. Thanks.

My mom swears by her Merrills for traveling, but they're nms either.
I would trust my Cole Haan flats for walking and touring. They really are very comfortable. I wore riding boots walking everywhere in Paris this past winter, so I'm of the mindset that if they're comfortable for you to wear all day at home, they'll likely be comfortable for sight-seeing, at least in the city. For something like the Great Wall, I'd probably want to wear sneakers, either my running sneakers (because I always bring them everywhere anyway) or Converse or Pumas.
