I have been on WW for 8 weeks, and I am 14 weeks post partum. I gained 80 lbs when pregnant (
) and lost the first 30 very quickly. I knew from my first experience that WW and exercise were going to be the only ways to lose the weight and that it would take me at least 6-9 months. I stick to the plan, I eat all my daily points, all my activity points, and I try to eat all my flex points (but it really is too much). Because I am still nursing, it gives me additional points that I also use. My exercise really only consists of a 30 minute Jillian Michaels video 6 nights a week.
I have been losing about 2 lbs a week on average which I think is about right. If I lose less then 2 lbs - WW congratulates me on my weight loss. If I lose more then 2 lbs I get a little lecture that tells me to be sure that I am losing weight the healthy way which is absurd because I am just doing their plan.
This past week, I lost 2.6 lbs and there was this whole extra paragraph about how I need to slow my weight loss and suggested seeing a doctor. Am I really losing too much weight too quickly? I know 1 lb is the suggested, but I did just have a baby.
Any thoughts?
Re: Weight Watchers lectured me
I'd lump this into the class of things that I might mention to my doctor at usual appointments ("this is what's been going on, it's cool, right?"), but not make a separate appointment to discuss.
Losing 2.6 lbs in a week instead of just 2 isn't generally the stuff health crises are made of, especially after a pregnancy in which you gained quite a bit of weight. I'm sure there's a certain amount of CYA involved for WW.
yes, if it's online it's a generic message, a CYA type message.

I do it online. I did think that too about the little lecture, but I swear this one was a lot more stern lol!
LOL it just generates after so many prob. I am thinking about doing it online, we have a meeting about 20minutes away, but my sister goes there and well things are not the best and I would rather not be around her.
I have lost more than 2 lbs on WW (meetings, not online) and no one made a big deal about it. They don't want to see you losing more than an average of 2 lbs a week. I agree that it was a CYA message on their part. The fact that you had a baby makes a big difference.
