Almond milk? Yay or Nay

I found the Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk has 0 grams sugar, but is it any good?

The other flavors are lower in sugar than regular milk, but if this tastes just as good, then I figured that would save my sugar intake even more.

 So is it any good?

TIA

Re: Almond milk? Yay or Nay

  • I LOOOOVE unsweetened vanilla almond milk. And at only 40 cals, it's a win-win. I am not sure I would sit down with a frosty glass of it alone, but it's perfect for cereal and smoothies. I find that my fruit and protein powder are plenty sweet enough, and in cereal, the flavor of whatever you are eating makes it taste almost like real milk.

  • I prefer almondmilk instead of dairy milk. It helps keep my skin clearer and is easier on my gut pre-run. We use unsweetened original or vanilla in our shakes and smoothies.
  • Yay for this lactose intolerant girl. I use the unsweetened in my protein shakes every day.

  • I use unsweetened original for things like coffee and oatmeal and smoothies.  If I just want a glass of milk, I'll drink organic skim - almond milk just isn't as refreshing to me.
  • A big YAY over hear too.

we love the chocolate kind too to help with our chocolate craving. YUM!

It is what we use - DH loves it in his coffee.

  • The only brand that I like is Trader Joes unsweetened vanilla (in the refrigerated section). Every other brand I've tried has been very grainy and odd tasting, but this one is great!
  • I like using vanilla almond milk in my oatmeal and smoothies.
