guy sends creepy spreadsheet of girls he met on match

I just saw this on facebook.  I don't even think the excel spreadsheet of his match dates is all that weird, but why on earth would he send this to anybody, much less a girl he'd been on a date with?!

Re: guy sends creepy spreadsheet of girls he met on match

  • I was reticent to open the whole thing.   Was there anything lascivious?  If not, a giant 'meh'.  It's a post-modern 'pros/cons' list.  I once got a spreadsheet from my sister for a pub crawl.  It outlined differences in scheduling based on method of transportation and exactly how much we would drink (otherwise the stop wouldn't 'count').  Did I mention we were going with my mother?  Because the geek don't stop in doctorwho's family.

I took a peek, and mostly it's stuff like, Jane, 26, from Hawaii, make-up artist, 7.5 (on the hotness scale, my words, not his), we met for coffee on 4/17, or she stood me up due a to a work emergency on 3/27.  Plus their Match.com profile picture.

Does he get the side eye for sending it out to one of the girls he met on Match.com?  Sure. (He mentioned to her he did this, she said "I wanna see!", he says OK, she forwards it to all her friends, bam it's on Jezebel.)  But it's not like the list says, "She's a level 3 Heifer to be sacrificed on Satan's alter."  It's just a geeky list for a guy who works in finance and is probably Chandler Bing in real life.

  • I find it much stranger that the girl forwarded it to everyone.
  • Is this the same guy who sent that 2,500 word email to the girl who didn't call him after their first date?

  • I don't think it's the same guy, although I was reminded of him.  This one seems more normal.

  • I actually don't find this so much creepy as incredibly nerdy.

  • I didn't read the link, but I make spreadsheets for everything possible.  It's just an Excel Nerd thing.

  • Well, I do find the detailed documenting of every conversation or contact with each girl a bit weird actually. Or maybe it's just OCD. And the rating of the women's looks Confused but not exactly uncommon for a 20 something guy.

  • I seriously laughed my head off at the spreadsheet. This would actually endear a guy to me because it's so painfully socially awkward and dorky. I don't find this creepy so much as incredibly hilarious and nerdy.
