What is on the agenda for today???
I have to go to work later on today and then to German class. I have a lot to do around the house but my package arrived from Amazon today so I am happy.
QOTD: What is your favorite thing about the IN board.
I like talking with people from different parts of the world who can understand what it is like to be an expat.
Re: Good Morning People!
Given that I've got a glass of wine in my hand, good afternoon.
QOTD: I like how there are people in most timezones, so there is always someone on to talk to.
I, too, just cracked open the wine, though at a more socially appropriate time the Publius (I kid, I kid).
QOTD: Both good points made before. I will add that I don't really know expats IRL, so this is the only place I get that perspective or commiseration.
I have been super productive today...I finally made that dreaded dentist appt. and have one for Friday. now to muster the courage to go...but Moms have to be big and mature and suck it up and go, right? Must be a good example for DD.
QOTD: I enjoy coming here to laugh, rant, commiserate, hear different points of view. Cause most of the time it?s a nice place to come.
On tap for today: groceries and working on my dissertation. I am hoping to be super productive after not at all productive days Mon and Tues (that left me feeling horribly lazy and mad at myself). Tonight I have to go to my support group and hope to watch a British murder mystery tv show when I come home.
QOTD answer: I love the sense of community here.
I'm squeaking in at morning today. Not too much exciting going on here. Its pretty gray, so I'm hoping to talk DH into going to Ikea or the grocery store in place of our daily walk.
QOTD: I love meeting people who are in similar situations, in terms of not living in their home country, etc. I also love the opend-mindedness of the women on this board.
True true and some outside of this board are really mean and judgmental unfortunately. I think I am going to stick to just this board!
Today it's work and then new mattress shopping.
QOTD - I love this board for its blend of cultures and points of view. I also love that everyone seems so sensible and every discussion results in a learning process as opposed to senseless drama.
edited for typos
Good afternoon (I'm a bit late for "morning" again)
I had another drumming lesson this morning, it's going really well and I am really enjoying it. I hope I can continue to take lessons when I am in London.
I'm home for some lunch, and then I have a Skype date with my BFF. We haven't been able to talk for a while. She just went on a trip with her BF and came back to start "pinning" wedding dresses. I can only guess what she is going to tell me today!
QOTD: I'm extremely new, so I can't really name a longstanding "favorite thing." From that perspective, I like how accepting you guys seem to be towards newbies. I know other boards can be rather cliquish and hard to break into, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.
