NSOR: Jillian Michael's Body Revolution

Is anyone doing JM's new workout program? Know of anyone who is doing it?

I'm considering making the plunge and spending the $120 on her program. I have her other DVD's that I love, but I really like the concept of never doing the same workout more than twice in the program. And 30 minutes from start to finish, including warm-up and cool-down? Yes please!

Re: NSOR: Jillian Michael's Body Revolution

  • I don't have it but it is something I am very interested in.  How long is the new workout program targeted for?
  • Never heard of it, but I have her book on metabolism and 30DS DVD.  I was actually gonna start the 30DS this week, LOL.

Can you tell me more about this new program?

    This is my siggy.
  • Ive been considering getting this program too. Do you know if there is a lot of "high impact" during the cardio?

I need something that I can do from home. Let us know if you start/buy it Yes

From what I've read on her site and other reviews, it's a 90 days eating/exercise plan that is geared towards dramatic results. I'm not looking for dramatic results, I'm looking for ANY kind of results, ha!

There are multiple DVD's and I think you only repeat each workout twice before moving on to a new one. The only equipment you need are hand weights and a resistance band (the band is part of the "kit"). She focuses on different parts of the body, as well as cardio. The DVD's are formatted in her typical "circuit" training format and offer optional ways of doing the moves for beginners/the more experienced.

I've been toying with the idea of making the purchase for a while now...I think I need to just take the plunge!!

  • Yes, please be the guinea pig and report back!

  • I have a box set of DVD's called The Biggest Winner that I am a HUGE fan of. If you aren't ready to drop that kind of money I'd try it out. There's 5 different workouts, you do each 1x a week. You just need hand weights and a step, I don't have a step so I just sorta try to fake it lol maybe I'll get one eventually.
  • I have done her 30 DS as well as her yoga DVD and "No More Trouble Zones".  I really like her hardcore approach.  I think it'd be worth the money to not do the same workout over and over again.  That's my biggest problem with working out at home-I get bored.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml

I have the 30 DS and have never done it long enough to see results, so I'm not sure I would spend more $$ for the complete boxed set of anything she (or any other trainer) produces.

That being said, I am drawn to the Malibu Pilates machine that Susan Lucci advertises.........

  • I have this and LOVE it.  It gives u a great workout and she kicks your butt.  You will be sore.  I really like how she will give you modifications for exercises so you can work up to doing the harder version.  I am on week 7/8 and see a lot of changes, have lost 12 lbs and my clothes do not fit anymore.  I have been told by others they can see a lot of changes since I have started. Overall, I just feel a lot better and healthier.  Having a 2 year old it really helps with it not being longer than 35 minutes.
  • If it's at all like the set I have, it'll be great. As long as you stick to it! I lost weight for my wedding doing my DVD set, when I actually stick with it I seem to lose a good amount.
