She came back and said something like she wasn't going to sweep it under the rug and that she was aware that it was both their problem (her jealousy, his communication) and that they were going to work on it.
She also said that she's a "jealous person" because her father left her mother for another woman when she was a kid.
Which made me crankyon her behalf since any dude who knows this ought to be amending his behavior within reason of course and not engaging in activity that's bound to make his wife feel uncomfortable. The fact that he felt the need to hide it is proof positive that he was wandering into dangerous territory.

I wouldn't call it jealousy as much as righteous irritation.
I also take issue with him talking to this chick about her inappropriate behavior. Dollars to donuts that conversation will be more about how his wife doesn't like it than it will be on how people shouldn't be doing crap like that.
