I hate dust!

Seriously, it drives me nuts. 3 days ago I dusted everything in the house. Thinking it would last a week. Nope. I just walked by a book shelf and it looks like its been untouched for weeks.

As if dust isnt irritating enough for most people, I have asthma and allergies on top of it and it's miserable.

Damn dry Colorado weather!! It makes it so much worse.

Anyone else have this problem. Is it bad in more humid areas? Or better?

Gah, gripe over.

Re: I hate dust!

  • We live in a very cool humid climate, and dust seems to be better than when I lived inland in a drier climate... but the mold is unrelenting. I would rather have dust.

  • You sound like you could be me! I hate dust as well. Compared to where I grew up and to where I live now it is way dustier here in WA than it ever was in AB. The soil here is also a really fine dusty powder which doesn't help. I could literally dust every day if I wanted too!

  • Its a PITA everywhere then huh?

Cole - id much rather have dust than mold. That stuff is killer. Even though it's so dry here we still have mold issues. We lived in a crummy old little house for a short time when I was younger. My parents couldn't figure out why my asthma was bad all the time. (hospital visits frequently ) then when we went to move my step dad pulled the fridge out to make sure nothing was behind it. When he did the leg caught on the linoleum and we had our (disgusting) answer. Mold was under all of the flooring!!!! It was only a one story ranch with no basement but the entire house has mold under all of the flooring. When they told the landlord he tried to tell my parents that they had to pay for the tear in the floor. My parents threatened to call the health department because the place could have been condemned. It was bad.

  • I am so aggravated by the stuff! I hate dog hair more though, I vacuum at least every other day and it never ends. Now that Brin is crawling I hate it even more.
