My husband submitted his resume for a new job on Thursday evening before Easter weekend (2 weeks ago tomorrow). He called the HR department this past Monday morning to make sure they received it, and was put straight into voicemail. Granted, it was Patriots Day in Massachusetts, so I'm not sure if HR was even working that day.
Would it be worth it or just a pain in the butt to call again tomorrow? It's been 6 years since either of us applied for anything new, so I'm not sure how long we should hold out hope. There's the saying that "the squeaky wheel gets the oil", but I don't want him to be counted out for being too "squeaky".
Thoughts? The job is still posted on their website.

I would also wait. It's one thing to call a couple of times once you've had an interview or if you know someone at the company who recommended you.
With the high level of unemployment I'm sure they have so many applicants that they're busy weeding out the under qualified and haven't even begun to call qualified applicants.
