My husband, who is an amazingly intelligent and wonderful man, has always struggled in school. When he was in grade school, he was in special education classes but for one reason or another he was never 'officially' diagnosed with a learning disability.
He has a lot of trouble in school now (he's working on completing his associates right now) and while he knows the material, he can't take tests well because he needs to take his time to understand what the test is asking.
I want to suggest to him to go into student services and speak to someone about getting help, like getting the university to allow him more time to take tests, but I don't want to offend him or make it seem like I think he isn't smart enough. I just want him to succeed. Is there a good way of going about this? Thank you!
