Balancing ft job and nursing school?
Can this be done and still keep ym sanity and my relationship?
Working ft, cut back, but only to about 36... wanted 32.
Bos has me working all nights, including Sat night which was my only night with dh!
I come home from school/ work and just cry because I'm burnt! Don't knwo what to do!

Yes, it can be done! I'll have been doing it for awhile. But we have evening programs and weekend programs here too. Maybe it is the program and not the fact that it's nursing school/working FT.
I just finished my RN in December - I have only seen one person do it (from the people I met). She was able to work a casual 40 hours (go in 6-8, then school, go back to work, etc).
As your program progresses the material doesn't get harder, it just builds more and more on what you have already learned so it's more to keep in your head. And then clinicals take up tons of time, at least for us the prep and post clinical paperwork was the most time consuming.
I worked a 0.5 nights and was still overwhelmed (but finished it), since I was always tired and just needed a nap.
It depends on the person. I know people who couldn't manage to work at all. On the other hand I know people who have children, worked FT (one of them had 2 jobs), and did great in NS. Good luck! Don't let yourself get too burnt out.
First and foremost, i'd like to say that i'm not pursuing an RN. I'm working on an Associates in CRJ and a Bachelors in Social Work/Psychology.
At present, I work 35 hours a week (9am to 4pm Monday through Friday). Though i'm not 'strapped' for time, per say, and have a lot of other things going on besides work and school (SO, family, animals, hobbies, etc.), there are times when the work load in particular does cause me to be incredibly stressed. Beyond that, my Associates is solely online (which means that I don't face the hassle of commuting). When I prepare to embark on my Bachelor's i'll be seeking PT employment so that I can take a 'heavier' course load and actually 'go to class' (as opposed to online classes).
Nothing is impossible. From the time that I graduated high school I knew what I wanted - a full time job and an online degree to provide me the flexibility to pay my bills while working on my education. If you have the mindset required to be dedicated and resilient, you could undoubtedly succeed.
Since you'd be attending classes, my suggestion would be to acquire a flexible position (not sure if you already had a job or not, can't recall). I'm blessed in the respect that I can work on homework inbetween clients at work, and such flexibility to come and go would surely benefit you in regards to classes/clinicals/etc. Best of luck to you!
