M just got a job offer

He applied for a new job at the end of February and after 2 interviews, several emails, lunch, and a phone call they offered him the position!

He'd basically be starting at the same level he's at right now at a new firm, but would have the potential to grow and move up within the next year to two years. M's so excited because he doesn't feel like he has potential to move up where he's at... like he's gone as far as he can because of other more employees and employers not seeing his full potential.

I'm excited and nervous at the same time. This is the first job we've had to make a decision about one way or the other. The two jobs he had previous to this one (while we were dating) literally fell into his lap and we're the only choices available (well that or be unemployed). I guess it's just fear of the unknown for me right now. I'm not great with change.

But I'm SO proud of him! He totally deserves a great job he can be happy at!

Congrats! I understand your fear of change... change is hard when you have to step out of the familiar, comfort zone but sometimes it takes that step in order to achieve growth. Before long, he'll start the knew job and it'll seem comfortable and normal. Hugs! Congrats again!!!

Yay! DH just took another job that was a "demotion" but will be president within the next 2 years.

It sucks to not make as much money, but DH is already MUCH happier.

Yay! Congrats to him! I know it's difficult stepping out of your comfort zone, T is about to embark on that soon with his career and he's a nervous wreck, but sometimes it really is the best thing. Life is always changing and being adaptable is a big plus. Hopefully M will love the new job and you'll both be happy!
