As of this morning, I've lost 10 lbs since the beginning of April! I haven't done my measurements yet (will probably wait til the weekend), but after 2 days in a row of being able to wear previously un-wearable pants I figured I'd cheat and weigh myself.
And even aside from the actual weight loss, I feel freaking fantastic. Its amazing how much less bloated and lethargic I feel. I mean, I knew logically that processed foods weren't good for me, but I had NO CLUE how much of a difference it would make to cut them out completely.
And H is super on board with the new MO for dinner and such. We've had some pretty killer dinners that are totally clean and it's made us realize that we can actually maintain this well past the month of my clean eating challenge. We've decided that once my month is over, we're going to still try to go completely clean at least 4 nights a week. And even the other 3 will still be healthy, but will probably incorportate things like whole wheat pasta, etc.
I am hardly even missing caffeine, if you can believe it. I'm sleeping better and feel less lethargic, so I don't even feel like I need it!
Re: I'm gonna piggy back Vanessa's AW...
Stand up for something you believe in.
Good job girlie! Clean eating the way you have is a huge accomplishment and I'm super proud of you. Let's get some of those recipes up on PLFF so I can add them into my meal planning
Keep up the good work!
Thanks everyone!
And V - one of them will be up next week. I keep forgetting to take pics of the foil-baked fish (with corn and black beans, omg, so good!). But the orange-ginger chicken with rice, edamame, bell pepper, and avocado will be up probably Tuesday.
And now I'm drooling. Seriously though, that is awesome, Nooner! I'm glad you are not only losing some lbs, but also feeling great. You and Vanessa are proof of the power of lifestyle changes.
I could never totally give up pasta. But going this clean has made me realize how much pasta we were eating. And while the whole grain blend stuff is way better for you than the white stuff, this did make me step back and start incorporating more actual whole grains - brown rice, quinoa, etc.
