LOL at myself
When I tried on shoes Saturday, the ones I bought were a bit snug - they were 9s. So I said, let me try a 9.5. They were huge! So the sales guy showed me a way to lace my shoe to loosen the toe box of the 9 which worked. They were snug on my treadmill run Monday, but not too tight, so I thought, "yeah, that will work!"
So yesterday, I was getting ready to go out on my run. I happened to pull the tongue of the shoe up and noticed that my new shoes are a size EIGHT. EIGHT!!!! So I pulled out the box, they said 9, but they were also a men's box!
Goodness. I know shoes get mixed up in boxes and such...I'm not mad or anything. I'm just laughing at myself and how I didn't notice before and how such a huge gap between "9" and 9.5 on Saturday didn't make me think twice. So I'm going to return them today and hopefully have some awesomely-fitting shoes for my run this afternoon.
